Dynamics Partners Cut Down Support Team Numbers Following Microsoft Layoffs

Microsoft has recently just laid off a considerable number of its employees, and the CRM Consultant related operations have suffered as a result, with support teams across the world that support Dynamics ERP and CRM partners being reduced.

Data shown by partner employees in several countries across the globe showed that staff focused on Dynamics partners have been drastically reduced, with each country being affected differently by the recent layoffs. A few of the workers were not fired, however, and are expected to receive new jobs in other sectors of Microsoft, possibly related to customer success or software.

A few countries were hit particularly hard by the layoffs and re-organization, such as Denmark and Germany, two of the countries in which the number of Microsoft’s direct managed partners shrunk dramatically. In Denmark, the number of partners left clocks in at 5, a mere 10% of the original 50. Another partner company in Germany has made their estimates regarding the fallout, saying that approximately 90% of Microsoft’s local Dynamics staff and their respective specialist roles have been removed. There are, however, reports that technical resources will remain.

Some subsidiaries, however, fared much better than the Dynamics and CRM Consultant operation end, as the ‘time zone teams’ in Europe, Middle East and Africa, as well as Latin America are reported to be increasing in numbers, according to some sources.

It is to be noted that most of the information learned about the lost staff come from more informal methods, such as attempts to contact Microsoft subsidiary employees, as well as communication from Microsoft’s partners made through the back channels.

The drastic change in subsidiary employee number will, alongside the company’s focus on its CSP (Cloud Solution Provider) program, mean that the CSP’s and software distributors will be handling more of the traditional partner support responsibilities.

CRM partners have, until now, usually relied on the support services from Microsoft’s subsidiaries in their countries, such as marketing and sales resources, among other things. Veterans of the field have already hazarded their guesses, saying that the recent changes made by the company will lead to greater competition among value-added distributors, which will attract smaller firms to become part of their affiliate network.

Ageing Demographics In Australia Drives Growth Of Funeral Industry

Benjamin Franklin made famous a quote that says” The only things certain in life: death and taxes.” One of the sad facts of life is death. A certain number of Australians die every year and the families want to provide them with a special funeral. The amount that families spend for funeral arrangements can be sizeable and a big chunk of the earnings goes to InvoCare Limited.

InvoCare is the largest funeral and cemetery operator in Australia. Its guaranteed earnings are almost a third of the market. The company shares have performed rather well for the last five years, growing by 89%. Since the death rate in Australia is predicted to increase every year until 2034, it provides an ample opportunity for InvoCare to grow its business.

With the ageing demographics of Australia, InvoCare is in a situation where its growth can move higher. In the company’s annual report to December 30, 2016, the revenue of the business grew by 3.3% and its operating earnings per share by 11.8%. If the death rate increases, the earnings will certainly move at faster rate.

InvoCare has achieved consistent growth of profit which is proven by the dividend increase every year since 2006. At present, the funeral and cemetery operator is currently trading with grossed-up dividend yield of 4.12%. In the latest report, it has increased half-year dividend by 11.8%.

InvoCare can claim to be the most defensive business on the Australian Securities Exchanged (ASX) because it is currently trading at 28x FY17‘s estimated earnings. This is certainly not cheap but it is expected considering the tailwind it enjoys. If you do not find it too morbid, InvoCare stocks are ideal for long term investment because its shares were up by 155% within the last five years. Shares are cheap right now and yet it has a bigger dividend.

If you are looking for someone who can assist you in funeral arrangements, your best option is funeral director in Perth that will help you ensure a fitting funeral service for your loved one. Year of experience in the industry allow you the best advice on the most affordable options.

SKY Bietigheim – A Distinctive Landmark With Frameless Glass Balustrades

Sky Bietigheim rises 67 meters or 18 stories above the town of Bietigheim-Bissingen making it a very distinctive landmark. It made use of frameless glass balustrade on the balcony to ensure that each office can take advantage of sunlight. On the rooftop terrace that is also protected by a frameless glass balustrade is a Jacuzzi which will surely be the favorite of guests because they can enjoy a hot tub and a fantastic view.

The 2007, the city administration of Bietigheim-Bissingen near Stuttgart in Germany purchased a parcel of land that was federally-owned. The site was quite challenging because it was situated between 3 of the city’s railway stations. However, the mayor saw the land’s potential and encouraged the construction of a 5-storey building with a design that is guaranteed to make it a landmark.

KMB, the architects, decided to take the plan one step further by suggesting a high-rise development instead of a 5-storey building. However, there were initial fears regarding the financial viability of the project but they proceeded with a high-rise plan after one tenant announced that they would be taking 5 whole storey.

When KMB was given the go-signal to proceed with the plan, the architects brought Q-Railing on board as well as the installer Beck GmbH so that they can create high transparency frameless glass balustrades on the building’s balconies and rooftop terrace.

At first, the city administration thought that location will be a challenge but it turned out to be the selling point. The building’s location between the 3 train stations became an excellent transport link. Additionally, schools, shops and entertainment facilities were within easy reach.

Sky Bietigheim became the town’s landmark because of its bold and dynamic design. A total of about 1,000 meters of Easy Glass Slim glass railing were used on the balconies and the glass balustrades of the rooftop terrace.

If you are interested in frameless glass balustrades for your balcony or terrace, there are glass suppliers near me. Aside from the glass balustrades, other glass products are available from custom cut windows, mirrors, splashbacks, tabletops, shower doors and pool fencing to create a contemporary look in your home.

Live Streaming: A Rising Trend Among Funeral Directors In Sydney

There’s nothing more painful in life than seeing your loved one being prepared for his/her funeral. It’s like when the body of the departed one is still there during the wake, it makes things a little bit bearable to say the least but when it’s to bury or cremate the body, then that’s the only time when you will say that “He’s/she’s gone,” because you will never get to see the body of your departed loved one. Now, let’s say you have a family member who passed away in Sydney, Australia. First things first, you need a team of trained funeral directors in Sydney who have years’ worth of experience in managing and facilitating all kinds of funerals in aide of honouring the spirit of the departed one. In addition to this, they will take care of everything for the family of the departed one from the choice of the casket, the refreshments that are going to be served for the visitors during the wake and the burial itself and, even to the transportation needs of guests from the funeral parlour to the burial site. They can also work on funeral theme that was desired by the departed one for a more meaningful funeral.

If you cannot a funeral due to some valid reasons that you may have, some funeral directors in Sydney and in other parts of the world are now setting up live streaming for those who can’t attend the actual funeral. This is a rising trend in the industry right now and is still growing in a fast rate. According to figures that were gathered last October of 2016, there is one out of five crematoriums have been offering live streaming during funerals. Although this service is considered as morbid or immoral by some, one in 3 millennials would be satisfied if they could watch the funeral of someone who passed away via live streaming.  This process is very much simple. The funeral parlour will set-up a discreet video camera to film everything that is happening during the funeral which is being broadcasted on a website that is protected by a password for those who will not be able to attend.

Glass-Heavy Projects See Steady Gain

With glass being as prevalent as a building material as it is, companies like Ecotech Glass are enjoying the rewards of providing a demanded service. In the US, glass-heavy construction may have taken a small hit during the February to March transition, but the yearly gains have shown a considerable amount of promise.

According to a USGNN analysis of data from the US Census Bureau, the glass-heavy office sector experienced a 2.5% decline during the transition from February to March, but experienced a growth of 15.7% from last year. Construction starts for the sector have totalled to $73.3 B at a seasonally adjusted, annualized rate.

The date matches with the outlooks and predictions of the US’s contract glaziers, a few of which made statements in the 2017 Glass and Glazing Industry Outlook, saying that they were expecting a notable increase in the demand for their services, primarily in the office sector, complimenting what would be expected of the healthcare, educational and commercial sectors.

The commercial sector noted a 10.9% increase for 2017, climbing up to $80.5 B, countering the 3.4% dip for the same timeframe as the office sector. Educational building also experienced a decline for the month, clocking in at 3.4%, with an annual growth of 1% from March of 2016 to the following year. Healthcare construction inverted the trend, with a 1.7% percent increase for the month, but a 1.4% decrease for the year period.

All non-residential construction, however, was experiencing a 1.2% decline on a monthly basis, with a 1% percent annual growth. This minute growth was also countered by declines in manufacturing building construction and transportation, measuring in at 9.7% and 12.3% respectively.

The numbers met mixed reception. Some professionals see it as a sign of the growth of the construction industry, noting that the monthly declines are not indicative of the status of the market, which has been showing good annual growth regardless. Construction spending in March clocked in at $1.218 T, not too far from the previous month’s data, whilst the change from January to March was recorded in at 4.9%. Certain companies are seeing this as a sign that provide construction related services, such as Ecotech Glass, will be more in demand overtime.

Some, however, are pointing out the monthly decrease as a sign of the commercial real estate market losing its momentum.

Proposal For High Speed Railway Between Sydney And Canberra

Federal MP Andrew Leigh is encouraging the government of NSW to support the proposal for a high-speed railway between Canberra and Sydney. The proposal which was put forward by Talgo, a Spanish manufacturing company will reduce travel time from Canberra to Sydney by 1 and a half hours. Rail travel time is 4 hours and reducing it to 2.5 hours will be highly efficient and convenient for all concerned.

In a letter to NSW Transport Minister Andrew Constance, Dr Leigh emphasized the significance of improving the rail links between the two cities. The current railway travel time of 4 hours is longer than the time it will take to drive from Canberra to Sydney.

However, many of those in the Canberra community who are living near the train route have expressed serious concerns that it might be a disadvantage to those who prefer to travel by train. They are also sceptical that the high speed railway might result to additional congestion on the streets.

According to Talgo commercial director, Guillermo Martinez, the full proposal is going to cost less than $100 million and can be completed in 12 months or less. The Indian government is currently running trials on the Talgo trains between New Delhi and Mumbai. They want to reduce a typical journey of 16 hours by 4 hours.

Salvador Flores, Talgo’s project manager explained that the primary reason why the trains travelled so fast is due to the tilting system that allows them to maintain speed on corners. The passive tilting system makes the train run faster.

Talgo has offered to lend one of its trains to Australia so that the feasibility of the proposal can be tested. While it is too soon to tell how fast the trains can travel on Australian tracks, Talgo trains have the capability to run at 200 kilometres per hour.
